Marist PRSSA Celebrates Successes with Holiday Style

unnamed-2 Members of the Marist Chapter of PRSSA celebrated a semester of successful events and initiatives at the annual holiday social during activity hour on Dec. 2.

The event kicked off with greetings from Chapter adviser Jennie Donohue, esPResso adviser Dr. Jennifer Robinette and North Road Communications adviser Dr. Nadine Hoffman. Professor Donohue mentioned several of the Chapter’s accomplishments from the fall semester including achieving national Pacesetter and Star Chapter awards.

“I loved showing the video of aunnamed-1ll our accomplishments and mingling with all the club members,” said Chapter President Harley Chase. After the departure of the faculty advisers, a short slideshow was presented. The video consisted of photographs from guest speakers, conferences and community service activities that Chapter members participated in so far this year.

Jessica SchianodiCola, director of chapter programming, was charge of planning the social and says that her favorite part was “setting up the room with the whole committee and decorating.” In addition to festive décor, the room was well supplied with craft materials for making ornaments, props to take pictures at a homemade photo booth and snacks to enjoy.unnamed-3

“I loved distracting myself from finals and getting into the spirit of the holiday season by making crafts,” said Chapter member Samantha Nearon. Chapter director of member services Tatiana Miranda agreed that the event was a success. “It was the first social I got to attend even though I have been in PRSSA for three years,” she added.
