On Saturday, March 12, a group of Marist College PRSSA members volunteered at The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Annual Gala. During this event volunteers were tasked with checking in guests and selling raffle tickets, for which all proceeds funded the functions of The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation.
The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation strives to “improve the quality of life for children and their families battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers while spreading awareness,” by pairing them with an adopting college or high school sports team. By providing the patients with teams of support, the Foundation aims to further the healing process for those pediatric patients affected by brain tumors.
With help from Marist PRSSA, the Gala was a success. “I cannot thank you guys enough for helping Saturday! PRSSA brought the best volunteers we have ever had for sure. We could not have done it without you all,” said Friends of Jaclyn Team Coordinator, Kylie Wojcicki.
Marist PRSSA volunteers were humbled to be a part of the team that helped to make The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Gala possible. If you would like to learn more about The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation or contribute, visit their website.
